Cruiser Convoy - Saturday, June 8th

The Cruiser Convoy is the largest and most anticipated single day event on the Law Enforcement Torch Run calendar. From the Berkshires to Provincetown, and the North Shore to New Bedford, Law Enforcement officers will convoy from all over the state to the 2024 Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games at Harvard's Athletic Complex in Boston. Officers are invited to present medals, interact with athletes, and enjoy a celebratory lunch! Families and friends are welcome!

How to Participate:

We are asking departments to donate $100 per cruiser that participates, or you can donate whatever amount feels appropriate. These funds directly support the athletes so they can continue to train and compete safely! All Law Enforcement Members that register will receive the annual Convoy shirt (design coming soon!) at the Cruiser Convoy on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.

What to expect on the day:

After we arrive at the final destination which is Harvard University, officers will be encouraged to walk around campus, watch Special Olympics athletes compete, and present their medals after competition. Around 12:45pm/1pm, we will have lunch served for officers. From there, officers are welcome to stick around until competition ends, or head home.  The Summer Games sports that the athletes will be competing in are volleyball, traditional track and field, swimming, power lifting, and tennis.

How you can help:

Spread the word! Invite your nearby agencies and departments. Our Law Enforcement Torch Run Program continues to grow because of your hard work and grassroots effort to bring new departments into our organization. The more the merrier plus the more agencies involved in spreading the mission of Special Olympics Massachusetts!
